Many stories that inspire The Sarajevo450 project come from research and a book, When Neighbors Were Real Human Beings, by Eli Tauber, which details the historic accounts of the Bosnian Jews who were saved by neighbors, many Muslim, during WWII.  The history of Muslims and Jews living together in the region of Bosnia and Herzegovina is nearly 500 years, and 450 years in Sarajevo.
