Shabbat Services, 7:30 PM
Eli Tauber will join CRC for Kabbalat Shabbat services to give a short teaching about topics explored in his book, When Neighbors were Real Human Beings, which documents the lives of Bosnian Jews saved during World War II, in many cases by Bosnian Muslims. During the Nazi occupation in Bosnia, a small number of Bosnian Jews, as well as religious and cultural artifacts, were saved with the help of Muslim neighbors and community. The most famous example is the Sarajevo Haggadah, now preserved in the National Museum in Sarajevo.
